Inspired by the masked ball in the movie Labyrinth, we made our own custom designed masks and costumes for this fantasy photoshoot. Here is a description of how we made the Baroness Talon bird mask, along with some successes, and some suggestions of what not to do if you want to make your own. Working with a group of like-minded and eccentric creatives, we put together our own masquerade ball inspired by the 1986 movie Labyrinth. The models and I custom designed and made the masks and costumes, and this was the first custom set I got to put together in the new studio.
