FAQs

  • Contact me! If you want to have a photo session, and that is literally all you know - I can work with that. Let’s chat, and we will come up with some ideas.

  • Not to worry, there are very, very few people who wouldn’t say the same. I can absolutely help! However, rather than have you imitate a fashion model, we will take this easy and have fun. Unless you want to of course - in which case get your Vogue on! So relax, let’s make this an extraordinary experience, and I have no doubt that it will result in some amazing photos.

  • Unless you already know where you want, our selection will be guided by our session objectives. It may be at my studio, your house, or a borrowed or rented venue. If you are looking for an outdoor session, we live in the best place on Earth, and I can give plenty of ideas for locations throughout Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.

  • You talk to me! I can give you ideas how to use the clothes and items you already have, I may have something that could do the trick, or we may come up with ideas for different options.

  • I do professional level photography, and I would like to think I’m pretty good at it. I kind of fake it in the hair and makeup department though. My best recommendation is that if you are looking for professional level results, hire a professional. If you are looking for suggestions, I may be able to help.

  • Bring it! I love dark stormy skies, soft foggy mornings, and the sun-bursting over the horizon, so I am game if you are. Or if it is important to the vision, we can plan for sheltered locations or in-studio. One of my “want to do’s” is a session dancing in the rain - how cool could that be! Are you in?

  • Hit the “contact” button at the bottom of the page, or e-mail me at jenhphotos.ca. I will be happy to book you in for your session!

  • Absolutely - every image you receive is professionally retouched. If we get really creative and more in-depth composite/photoshop is needed, then an estimate will be provided before-hand, based on how much extra labour will be required.

  • I hate to say it depends, but it really can. If our idea takes 20 hours of post-processing time, I won’t be able to get it back next day. A good rule of thumb is within 2 weeks.

  • I have provided an estimate number of photos you will receive in session packages. This may be further refined by the specifics of our session. I do my best to balance the labour I put in to give you a great quality product, so we don’t want to short the time I put into creating your images. However, in situations where less labour in setup, clean-up and photoshop time is required, I can usually produce more images.

  • Ones where we have fun - always. If I were to specify a genre I would have to say I have a personal fascination with a darker, luxuriously decadent kind of aesthetic. But variety is the spice of life, so I am always excited when I get to plan something new!

  • While I don’t offer discounts, I do make an effort to have mini-sessions a few times throughout the year. These offer a shorter photo session in a pre-designed - but always gorgeous - setting.

  • I do work in photoshop, and some graphic editing, including custom invitations. I am happy to come out for event photography, and photograph headshots as well. I also have some fine art images available for purchase. See my Packages page for more details.
